Nature's Kaleidoscope: Diverse Habitats and Wildlife
Kube Yini's unique identity is found in the scenic splendour of its wide varied landscape, ranging from the commanding forested heights of the Ubombo Mountains, through thornveld to lush riverine habitats. Kube Yini is favoured with a rich diversity of ecosystems and microclimates that support a range of wildlife far exceeding that of other areas in the region. Importantly, Kube Yini shares a common boundary with the World Heritage Site - the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park (now renamed the Isimangoliso Wetlands Park), recognised as a bio-diversity "Hot Spot" due to its exceptional range of species, containing over 2,000 vertebrates alone, almost three times more that the famed Kruger National Park.
A Natural Lookout
The Ubombo Mountains form Kube Yini's eastern boundary and it's elevated, central plateau is richly adorned with picturesque rock outcrops and clusters of dense vegetation. To the North and south, Kube Yini divides into a series of deep riverine valleys. To the east the plateau ends in a dramatic fall down a 200 metre escarpment framing the wide valley basin of the Unsunduze River, which wends its sultry way along Kube Yin's eastern boundary and into the Mkuzi Game Reserve. Accommodation is provided in luxurious thatched lodges situated in elevated positions and fanned by cooling breezes ensuring a comfortable lifestyle. Kube Yini has breathtaking views across more than 100 kms across Lake St Lucia in the south, across the undulating plains of Mkuzi Game Reserve and towards the coastal dune and sandveld forests stretching from Mapelane and Sodwana Bay to Lake Sibaya in the East, and North to the little settlement of Ubombo, perched on the mountains between the Mkuze and Pongolo River gorges.
Ultimate Privacy
Kube Yini comprises more than 3,000 acres (1,412 hectares) with luxuriously appointed and individually owned thatched lodges, limited to a total of fifty to promote exclusivity, and set apart for a secluded wildlife experience. Each lodge is positioned to take maximum advantage of the elevated views, integrated with outcrops of ancient volcanic rock, formed before the disruption of the super-continent gondwanaland and dense vegetation to ensure complete privacy and harmony with nature. Owning a share in Kube Yini means full title of a fully functioning exclusive African Game Reserve, since you own the land and all the game, the infrastructure, machinery and the equipment. From the moment you pass through the main gate at the crest of the Ubombo Mountains, you enter the timeless tranquillity, endless beauty and rich diversity that only Kube Yini can offer-your own personal, family or corporate retreat. Whether you walk or drive around the more than 50 kms of roads within the reserve, or share its daily moods and special wildlife events via email contact with the close-knit community of like-minded co-owners and through the shareholder newsletters, Kube Yini will unfold its daily mysteries and enrich your life experience.
